Last week, Jarden and I won tickets to Ward Village’s Courtyard Brunch. Frankly I don’t even remember entering, but I enter a lot of contests, so I was super excited to finally win one! (And it was foodie related! Dying!)
Ward Village, which is a classy up and coming spot in the Kaka’ako area, has a themed brunch in their courtyard every month. This months theme was an appropriate Oktoberfest, and featured numerous dishes and drinks from 8 different eateries. You can buy a $25 ticket that gives you 1 voucher for a drink and 3 vouchers for food plates. We won 2 tickets, so we got to sample 2 drinks and every single dish available!
All of the menu items were displayed on cool chalkboards such as on the right. I loved how trendy the decor at the event was! The only downside was that it was under a tent, and it was pretty hot lol.
Because the theme was Oktoberfest, there were a lot of braised meat and sausage involved. I would have liked more variety from the vendors dishes (how did almost everything have a side of cabbage?), but every dish was yummy, (especially the pork belly!) and the drinks from Nalo Juice were absolutely divine.
I also think it would have been nice to have been able to buy individual drink/food tickets rather than purchase them in bundles, but overall it was a nice event at a beautiful location. Seriously, fanciest bathroom I’ve ever seen lol. If there’s a theme I really like in the future, I definitely want to go back. Definitely a foodie’s paradise 🙂
