The Cliffs of Moher are on the western tip of Ireland – miles of sheer cliffs 700 feet above the raging waters below. It’s one of the most visited sights in Ireland, and we drove a good 3 hours from Dublin to see it.
After parking and walking inside, there are multiple paths you can take to walk the cliffs. There are walls built for safety, but people can cross over and get a closer look if they want to take that risk. (The Cliffs have claimed lives before, so if you do step over the wall, do so with caution! There can be sudden landslides, so while we climbed over, we didn’t stand right on the edge.)
The cliffs were absolutely breathtaking – and honestly a little nerve racking for me! We went at the perfect time too and got to catch the sunset; it’s definitely a highlight from our Ireland trip and worth the drive if you have the time.
