A few days before our trip, I was doing some last minute research on Pinterest and saw pictures of gorgeous Villers Abbey in Belgium. A mere 45 minutes from the center of Brussels, I knew that we had to add this to our itinerary! We had a rental car in Belgium, so it was really easy drive over for us. (The drive over also gave us gorgeous views of the countryside!

The Abbaye De Villers, also known as Villers Abbey, is an Catholic abbey that was founded in 1146. Upon entrance, you start with a small museum, and then you are led outside to the gorgeous remains that have withstood hundreds of years.

Villers Abbey

The abbey is pretty big, with lots of structures giving you a glimpse back into the 12th century. Admission to the majestic ruins is 8 euros per adult – it was absolutely worth the visit! The park is a great size and you can spend a good hour or two walking through and taking pictures. Enjoy this little photo diary of Villers Abbey!
