Food tours are one of our favorite activities to do in a new city – it’s a great way to absorb lots of otherwise unknown information, along with filling your stomachs! Secret Food Tours does tours in many cities such as Hong Kong, Rome, and Boston. We were happy to find out that they also do tours in Berlin!
This wasn’t our first rodeo with Secret Food Tours – we went on one of their tours in Paris and loved it SO MUCH!

Our last day in Germany, we headed to our designated meeting point at 11am and met up with our group for the day. Justin, our tour-guide for the afternoon, did brief introductions and off we went!
At our first stop, we sat down at a kebab shop and tried out a delicious and popular dish in local German culture. (aka, its great drinking food!) We also were able to have some German Kola, and some hot tea if we wished.
I love this about Secret Food Tours– you think you’re going to get small bite sized samples? Think again! We each got entire meals as our first course, so come hungry!
Our second stop led us through some graffiti art, which Berlin is famous for.
We also got to see the worlds smallest disco. For 2 Euros it can play any song, and it even has a smoke machine inside lol! 2 adults and their 2 kids from our group managed to fit in there, they said it was really fun!
We then ended up at a location where we got to choose a drink of our choice – white wine for me, whiskey for Jarden 🙂 We then ate some of the best pizza I’ve ever had! I know – I didn’t expect to eat pizza on a Berlin food tour, but it was delicious so no complaints!
Afterwards we went to get some dumplings…
Visited a store that specializes in stuffed meat…
Got to try some candied nuts…
and at our final food stop we got some delicious chicken sandwiches. (Ummmm yeah we totally forgot the German name of these lol.)
Stomachs full to the very brim, we ended our final day in Berlin on an incredible note. We got to try so much yummy food, and we had a great time learning about Berlin from our guide Justin! You could tell he was really passionate about the city, and he made the tour very enjoyable. We can’t wait until our next Secret Food Tour!
