Of the many times I’ve been to Las Vegas, I’ve always seemed to somehow miss all of the shows. My most recent trip finally allowed me to see my first:
This was also my first Cirque du Soleil show, something I’ve always longed to see! Of all the Cirque du Soleil shows currently in Vegas (Mystere, Ka, Zumanity, O, The Beatles Love, and Michael Jackson One), this one was the perfect introduction. With bright colors, powerful music, eye-catching costumes and high-energy acrobatics, Mystère captured me from start to finish.
Mystère is held exclusively at Treasure Island. There was a ton of excited energy while entering the large auditorium, and we happily found we had entertainment before the show even began. Snacks and drinks in hand, a member of the cast comedically interacted with the audience while everyone filed inside.
The show managed to mix in powerful acts with comedic bits, with the cast of athletes enchanting you every step of the way. The strength and passion of the cast was clearly evident in their display of acrobatics, dancing, etc., coupled with striking props and set design. Seriously, this stuff is edge-of-your-seat amazing!
It was an incredible show, and I’m excited to see what my next Cirque du Soleil show will be; I want more! I’d definitely recommend it for the entire family, it’s a must see in Vegas!
