MANOA FALLS HIKE ON OAHU, HAWAII
Deep in lush Manoa Valley lies a popular, family friendly hike to Manoa Falls. We brought our dog along on a Sunday afternoon to try out the route. (Above is an aerial shot of the falls.)
We parked in the residential area before the driveway entrance to save a few dollars. If you don’t wanna walk up, there is a paid parking lot right pass Treetops restaurant (near the entrance of the hike).
Our dog was really enjoying the day out of the house! The hike is extremely pet friendly and is one of the easier hikes on the island.
The bamboo forest and tree arch are popular spots to take pictures. Family, pet, and selfie friendly? A hiking trifecta.
There is a little pool at the bottom of Manoa Falls that some people like to dip in. At the time we went the water didn’t look too clean, so we decided to pass. Unfortunately when we got to the end of the hike the waterfall itself was pretty dry, which is practically unheard of for Manoa. (So please, enjoy this picture of a wet rock!) Still a fun, super easy hike though. We’d recommend it!
