I love a good afternoon tea, and I’ve had the pleasure of trying out a few on Oahu including The Veranda at The Kahala Hotel, A Cup of Tea in Kailua, and Afternoon Tea at MW restaurant. My most recent afternoon tea experience was with my family in Honolulu (specifically Chinatown) – Tea at 1024.
These grandiose chairs are on view from the sidewalk outside. We luckily got to sit at this royal table! If you’re feeling a little extra and brought your big floppy hats, try and snag this spot 🙂 (Also, there are hats available for you to use if you don’t have any. I love the frivolity of it all!)
Lots of selections from the tea menu!
We got 3 pots of delicious tea, and each person received differently designed plates and pots – it’s fun to see what everyone gets!
We started out with a house salad of spinach, assorted berries, and feta cheese. Definitely one of the most delicious house salads I’ve had.
You randomly get an assortment of 5 different sandwiches. The flavors included Cheddar Cheese & Tomato, Chicken Curry, Crab & Olive with Cream Cheese, Egg Salad, and Cucumber & Avocado. My favorites were the egg salad and chicken curry!
Mini assorted scones were provided, accompanied with strawberry preserves and my absolute favorite, clotted cream! Some other assorted desserts were also included. I mainly just ate the scones, but the treats did look tasty!
We had a great time at Tea at 1024 and I’d definitely recommend it for a fun lunch out. The service was good, the food was tasty, and we all really enjoyed ourselves.
Pricing starts at $22.95, so it’s definitely an affordable option. Hours are Wed-Fri: 11:00am-1:00pm and Sat-Sun: 11:00am-3:oopm. (Closed Mondays & Tuesdays).
