On our most recent jaunt to Los Angeles, we spent a full day there before our flight to Iceland. Although it was a quick amount of time, we got a lot done as always – we love to jam pack as much as we can into our itineraries!
Here’s How To Spend A Day In Los Angeles
Visit The Hollywood Sign and Griffith Observatory
(source)
What’s a visit to LA without seeing the Hollywood sign? You can either hike up to the top, or get a great view of it from the Griffith Observatory. The observatory is also a great spot for a birds eye view of the city, and of course to check out the stars at night.
Dine At In-N-Out Burger

In-N-Out is only located in a few states, but it’s most commonly visited in California. With it’s cheap prices, simple menu, and pretty darn good burgers, give this place a try sometime during your day. (People go crazy for the animal fries – I personally love the grilled onions off the secret menu!)
Check Out The Walt Disney Concert Hall
The Walt Disney Concert Hall is the epicenter of classical, contemporary, and jazz music, as well as an internationally recognized landmark. It’s curved steel architecture is a draw for a lot of photographers – definitely a fun place to shoot!
Stroll Down The Venice Canals
Rent car and drive down to Venice. Not only can you check out famous Venice Beach, but you can also walk around the neighborhoods that surround the canals – it’s so beautiful!
Spend Some Time At A Museum
Los Angeles has a ton of popular museums that you can visit – our recommendation is LACMA, or the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. This is also the location of the insta-famous Los Angeles light posts – something that you can visit without paying for the museum entrance fee.
